What TimeBee is
TimeBee gives small businesses a booking page. When you book with a business through TimeBee, that business decides what to do with your details. TimeBee stores them for the business and keeps them safe.
What we collect
If you book an appointment
- Your name and cellphone number (so the business can reach you).
- Your email and a note, only if you choose to add them.
- The service, date and time you booked.
If you run a business on TimeBee
- Your email address and password (stored securely by our login provider; we never see your password).
- Your business details, service list, prices, hours, location, social media links and the photos you upload.
- Your employees' names and, if you add them, their WhatsApp numbers (only you can see the numbers).
- Your plan and payment status. Payments are processed by Paystack: we never see or store your card details, only a reference that lets us manage your subscription.
- Your customers' bookings, as above.
We don't collect anything we don't need to run bookings.
Who can see it
- Your booking details are visible to the business you booked with, and to nobody else.
- We don't sell your details, and we don't use them for advertising or send you marketing.
- Our hosting and database providers store the data for us. It is held in the United Kingdom (London) and is protected so that one business can never see another business's customers.
Buttons that mention WhatsApp open your own WhatsApp with a message already written. You press send yourself. TimeBee doesn't send WhatsApp messages and can't read your chats.
How long we keep it
A customer's name, number and email are removed automatically once they have had no booking with a business for 24 months. The booking record itself stays without any personal details, so the business's own figures aren't affected.
Your rights, and how to use them
You can ask to see, correct or delete the details held about you. Because the business you booked with is in charge of your booking, the quickest route is to ask them. They can erase your details from their dashboard right away.
Business owners can delete their whole account, including all their customers' details, from Settings. It takes effect immediately.
You can also write to us at timebee514@gmail.com.
If you think your details have been mishandled, you can complain to South Africa's Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
